What these credentials mean

Singapore MSC is Singapore’s national sustainability certification for the MICE industry, developed by SACEOS with support from the Singapore Tourism Board. It covers carbon, waste, energy, water, social, HR competency and procurement. Gold requires external sustainability initiatives and measurement and reporting of energy, water, waste and carbon, verified through document review, interviews and a site visit.

ISO 20121 is the international standard for event sustainability management systems, which manage the environmental, social and economic impacts of event-related activities.

What they do not cover

These are company-level credentials. They do not certify an individual client event, menu item or vehicle, or the results of the Green Passport Carbon calculator, and they are not a carbon-neutral claim.
